East Jakarta Bina Marga Installs 35 LED SS Lights in RW 02 Cilangkap

East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency installed 35 LED smart system (SS) type street lights with capacity 40 watts in RW 02 Cilangkap Urban Village, Cipayung Sub-district.

Since a week ago, we have installed 27 lights. The remaining 8 lights have been installed today

East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency's City Utility Network Infrastructure and Public Street Lighting (PJUK and PJU) Section Head, Abdul Jabbar stated, lights installation had been carried out since a week ago and it was planned to finish today. According to him, this installation was carried out to follow up resident's request submitted through Musrenbang.

"Since a week ago, we have installed 27 lights. The remaining 8 lights have been installed today," he said, Wednesday (1/12).

625 Street Lights on 13 Islands Replaced with LED

The main obstacle in installing those lights was several lamp posts didn't have network, so his side needed to make network first by installing cables.

Cipayung Sub-district Head, Panangaran Ritonga appreciated Bina Marga Sub-agency for responding RW 02 residents' requests. He hopes other areas that still require street lights installation will be also assisted because lighting is very important at night.

"We have directly monitored the installation and the process is quite fast," he mentioned.

RW 02 Cilangkap LMK Member, Kompol (Purn) Suharno conveyed, his side and RT/RW administrators continued to provide assistance in the process of installing street lights, both during the day and night until 24:00. Assistance was provided to ensure lights to be installed in at points needed by residents.

"We express our gratitude and appreciation to East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-agency for responding quickly to residents regarding PJU. Because it is very important, not only to light the area but also to minimize occurrence of crime at night," he closed.
